Foundation

In 2019 the Rotary Club of Cagliari South celebrates its 20th anniversary, as it was born in 1999 by decision of the Governor Arturo Nati and for the passionate commitment of the special delegate PDG Angelo Cherchi, with the sponsorship of the Rotary Club Cagliari and Rotary Club Cagliari North .

Rotary International accepted the new forming in May, 1999 and delivered the Charta in September 1999.

At the moment of his foundation, Rotary Club Cagliari Sud was the 4th of Cagliari, the 22th of Sardinia and the 62th of the 2080 District.

The new club was chaired by Emanuele Corona for the two months of the Rotary Year1998-1999 and for the following Rotary Year.

At its acceptance the club had 23 founding members, to which were added 3 other members, waiting to receive the Charta, distinguished in the various classifications and coming from different professional fields.

Who

Rotary Club Cagliari Sud is a club composed by 31 members. It is affiliated with Rotary International and is part of District 2080, which includes Sardinian clubs, Roman clubs and Lazio clubs.
What

Our club acts as a service club based on values shared by the members and on friendships that exist between them; our actions and projects are carried out for the good of others in that context.
Where

Our activities take place mainly at our headquarters, located at the Hotel Caesar in via Darwin 2/4 in Cagliari. On other occasions we carry out projects, trips and excursions as well as convivial dinners at other venues.
Interclub

The club carries out social activities in network with other clubs located in Cagliari and Quartu Sant.Elena: RC Cagliari, RC Cagliari Nord, RC Cagliari Est, RC Cagliari Anfiteatro, RC Quartu Sant'Elena. The joint activities concern projects, interclub conferences and other activities carried out in synergy that are more effective for clubs and for the others.
